Harvesting our first ever crop

Are you braced for the following peek at what we have grown? For the first time ever, MaDge and I have grown our own food! I can't believe it.Let's just say small things come in good packages.

Now while the mushroom growers of the world won't be phased by our efforts, I am well chuffed. We grew 3 mushrooms. WE GREW 3 MUSHROOMS! Not only that, we have loads more to come. See all the little pinhead mushrooms (circled) waiting to grow? Mmmmmmmmm

MaDge should have gone to specsavers. Mushroom lens are really  NOT the way to go.

... before being dished for sunday dinner. They were absolutely delish. Full of flavour and quite spongy. They woild be  brilliant as a mushroom sauce for pasta. I wish they would hurry up and grow. I am hungry

Student radio

Giving and spinning

 Hiya,

Isn't it great the nights are getting longer and the weather is getting (a tad) warmer? Makes you feel great to be alive.

You may have picked up I am in great mood.I have spent the afternoon spinning. Not the exercise kinda spinning, the real kind. Fleece, wheels, carding, the works. I absolutely LOVED it. It's one of those things you just need to sit down, with wheel and fleece, and just play with it until it all comes together . I am not ashamed to show you my first attempt....  McA Direct may already be clambouring for my first shipment of bespoke minxxy yarn..... or maybe not!

                  

Now isn't that quality??!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now NEED a wheel, any suggestions on where to buy/borrow/steal /beg one? *delete as applicable

I would also like to thank Michaela for the lovely wool she sent so I can make felted boxes for the Nursery. I am desperate to dive in and start but I must finish Elvis first..details to follow. Michaela, cheers! You are a star x
