Esther Williams, Synchronised knitting

It's finished.

It's pretty.

It's the best fit EVER in any hat I've knitted.

It's going to be knitted again.

It's the Esther Williams hat from Poor Miss Finch's knitalong

Introducing............ my Hat!!  TA DAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the finished item, modelled , in the absence of  Leigh, by a melon. The crochet edging is made up of 2 DC then 2 something else, I made it up as I went along . I used one strand of wool/mohair mix DK and one strand of Lousia hardings Impressions. Not once did I swatch, I just went at it full tilt as usual. Trying it on before it was edged, I thought it was a better fit. The  crochet edge seems to make it flare out ever so slightly which I'd rather not have.I like my hats  curling around the edge of my head so they don't feel as if they are about to whoooooooooooooosh off in the winter wind.

Here's a true likeness of the wool , taken outside , in the sun, no flash. The pink wool really does sparkle in the daylight. Finally I managed to get a shot of Leigh modelling. I really must improve my digital photography. Quite simply, it's rotten!

Too big for her Ladyship, but ideal for me!!

Go kit this hat, it's fantabulous!!
